Would you rather read the book or watch the movie? (Assuming both the movie and book are based off one another) OR, perhaps you would rather read the book, then watch the movie assuming you liked the book, OR perhaps you would rather watch the movie and assuming the movie was good you would read the book.

I'd rather read the book then watch the movie. In a book you can visualise each scene so it's interesting to see if the filmmaker has a picture in his head similar to mine.

Also, films can be confusing as they always miss bits out. At least, if you've read the book, you know whats going on.

Sometimes you can see a good film and then want to read the book. For instance, I loved the film 'Christmas with the Kranks' and would love to read the novel that the story originated from.

Read book, watch movie - usually in that order ... IF there's a movie out on the book I've read.

I'm an avid reader and not so big on movies. I read mostly non-fiction, true crime, biographies - that sort of thing.

It's always amazing to me how much the book and movies differ, considering non-fiction should be based on facts whether it's a book OR movie. Often times, the movies leave out so much and change serious facts - sensationalize. But, there are always some tidbits you can pick up when seeing the movie after reading the book.

Good question, good poll.

I prefer to watch the movie only. Never enjoyed reading that much, because it has to be completely silent for me to comprehend what I'm reading, unless it's something I'm very interested in.

Read the Book, as I don't get to watch movie that often.

Read book then watch movie, though I tend to forget what the book is about by the time I go to watch a movie, since I'd have read like 10 books since then. I read fast

I just watch the movie. I don't really have a whole lot of time set on the side for reading.
