Do you think it is good forum etiquette to post another introduction thread if you have been gone for a very long time?

Or maybe you think it doesn't matter and it's fine to just dive back in and start posting as normal?

What do you think about members re-introducing themselves on forums?

I think it's fine to do it if you've been gone for a while, especially if a lot has changed in that time (I posted a re-introduction after I came back to a forum that I left pre-transition...I was literally a whole new person, just on an old account), but it's not strictly necessary. I think it's fine to just turn up and start posting again if that's what you want to do.

I don't think it really matters. A reintroduction can be useful, to update everyone on what you've been up to (and let them know you're back), but I don't think it's necessary.

I don't mind if people do or don't post a reintroduction. I am not strict with the forum rules and guidelines much anymore.

I have done it in the past. Just to see if anyone has missed me.
