Religion causes war or peace?

Exactly as I stated earlier.

Religion has and always will be a cause of conflict and war.

This is a major issue over seas. Muslim sects murder people for stupid reasons every day. Christians used to be pretty bad about it as I'm referring to the dark ages and of course, the Salem Witch Trials & The West Memphis 3.

Look at the states in the US who aim to hinder women's rights to abortion, all because their shitty religion says it's wrong.

Actually, the Christian faith isn't supposed to be against abortion. What you're witnessing is hypocrisy. Abortion shouldn't bother Christians, period. Not when their god allowed his followers to kill children and pregnant women. If you read through the Bible you will find that the Abrahamic God is for all kinds of genocide as well as infanticide. If you think about it, in Christian mythology: it's God's will for the parents and doctors to abort children. There was an analysis done on Rick Warren and on Psalm 139:16 about how God makes plans when you're born, what you're going to be doing, and when you're going to die. This also goes hand in hand with Revelation 22:13, and Isaiah 45: 7. The biblical god is responsible for anything and everything that happens. I will list the verses below for you to review.

I'm sure you've heard many Christians make the following statements: "God has a plan for you" & "It's God's will".

Religion offers nothing good in this world. It divides people.

As an Atheist myself, I am against religious indoctrination & view it as immoral. One shouldn't force their beliefs on anyone. I personally don't have a huge problem with religious people who keep it in the closet or of those that are non practicing. The ones that are out judging and forcing their religious views onto others I take issue with. They're part of a huge problem.
