Hello,
Today is Remembrance Day, one of the most important days in Britain. On the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month(November) United Kingdom goes silent for two minutes as we remember all those brave servicemen and women who fought in all the wars since world war one and who are fighting now, They are fighting for peace and the minutes should be used to silently thank them for keeping our freedom. The Queen today laid a wreath at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. Now here is a famous poem made by someone involved in world war one about Flanders field:
Poppies are worn by people across the nation to remember the people who fought.
Did you have your silence?
Thanks.

In Flanders Fields
by John McCrae, May 1915
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Poppies are worn by people across the nation to remember the people who fought.
Did you have your silence?
Thanks.
