Removing Elites

Wouldn't be bothered, it's the administrators forum after all.

I don't take it personally unless the administrator slips an insult after the demotion.

If they wanted me to take it personally then they're out of luck.



I'm sure the site would still be worth staying in if I've contributed that much to even get the rank.

Ive gotten into little arguments with elites and staff on this and other forums Ive ran. I wouldnt take away their rank for it. Each person is entitled to their opinion/way of thinking..

It's pathetic administrating when one is demoted without a legit reason. I mean, you wouldn't fire someone from a job because we have too many employees.

Well actually they do that. Its called laying people off.

Basically a fancy way of saying you're fired because we have too many employees.

They're fired because there are higher value employees which the business needs, and due to the economy, they're are more of a liability to the business.

Not really.. My employer does it by seniority.



Example: Someone who does a horrible job but has been there a while gets to keep their job while a great and productive employee loses their job.

Legitimate reasons:

• stripping the rank from someone who turned into a troll or someone who was bad for the forum.
  
• If they abandoned the forum (haven't logged in for 8 months or longer)..
  

I was actually wondering what it would take to be demoted from Elite here, as I know I have not been posting as much lately as I used to, due to things that are happening in my life right now.

I was wondering if one day I would log in to find I'd been demoted, or that I'd have a message warning me I would be.

I'd probably be annoyed. If I still liked the forum, then I'd probably try and find out why. if not, then id' let it slide and never visit again.

Think it would be nice to give them a reason to why there Elite status was removed, But the Admins have full control over what happens and do not have to give out reasons if they don't want to. I didnt know this forum had Elite members till the other day, seems cool.

Elite status doesn't really matter. I wouldn't even care if I were an elite and got my status taken away.
