Some people replace one addictive behavior with another.

Can you think of an example?

Have you or someone you know done this?

Yes, most definitely. My dad quit smoking and he immediately replace cigarettes with food. He'd snack frequently, would eat a lot of things that aren't good for you, and he started piling on the pounds. It didn't matter to him, because he had to feed that new addiction. Didn't care how, just needed food.

Some people replace bad addictions with healthy ones but take them too far. Like when people work out too much and turn into muscle weirdos!

I've been addicted to forums ever since I was in my teens, but sometimes I would phase them out a bit and become addicted to some other type of hobby. But, for the most part, I always seem to return to forums, even if I am gone for an extended period of time.

Or a sex addiction where they fap, fap, fap, fap it up all day to porn. lmao

How some people find the stamina for that is beyond me. I can't stand porn or masturbation, but in the rare instances when I partook...once was plenty.
Speaking from experience? :p

When I was a 13 year old boy and had just discovered how magical my right hand could be, I did it until I was sore. Damn....I didn't think there were any draw backs to it.

Replaced smoking with drinking , now i cut back on that so i have no where to run after a stressful day.
