Republicans vs Democrats

Neither.

At least as far as Congress goes.

Both are just as hopelessly corrupt and out for their own gain.

As proof, you need go no further than the current speaker's pledge to drain the swamp and then look at Mr. Wrangle and Ms. Waters and their current corruption dramas.

Once elected, they all turn into.... (I'm sorry, but the term is the only one that I can think of that puts it most correctly).... they ALL turn into assholes.

I agree, in total I would say only five or so members of the Senate, and maybe 15-20 in the House, are incorrupt. Power and Money just drive people to corruption and no one is safe from it except for God.

I label myself as neither a Republican, or a Democrat, but as a Conservative.

I tend to favor what Democrats do but I do side with republicans on some issues. I cant really say either one is right.

/end sad debate from Nebulous.

Wow, that lady is such an idiot. Conservatives are such idiots. She is advocating the removal of the Federal Reserve, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, People Without Insurance Getting Care at an Emergency room, The National Parks act.... Conservatives are so self centered and so ignorant so much of the time. Providing health care for all Americans is not slavery.

Who the hell is she to say that those many many people working very hard across the country at minimum wage jobs for small businesses shouldn't be able to get healthcare? Its idiot like her that are the reason we have the 37th best health care in the world. Our private insurance system is so corrupt and so overrun by greed its fucking ridiculous. You pay into a system all your life and then when you get cancer they say, oops we don't have any money for you, it all went to our executive's mansions because unlike you sir, they work very hard and deserve to have the money that they have, and their lives have value.

Conservatives are the reason why we are falling behind in the world. They refuse to accept the fact that society changes and evolves over time. I hear Glenn Beck bashing on Obama and everything he does, saying they are terrible and ridiculous proposals, but I never hear solutions from the conservatives. Never. All they care about are their damn guns that they shouldn't even have, they don't care about hard-working people who are getting screwed over by the system. That woman is what is destroying America, that type of voter. Not some meek elderly and incompetent candidate for an elected office.

It makes me so frustrated for people to continue to argue that healthcare shouldn't be a right, when we have/had 50 million uninsured, the vast majority of those working, working hard. Conservatives only care about them and their own family, anything that does good for others but hurts them in the least is no good. They don't care about others. And it pains me to see the reality of our nation, and how conservatives continue to oppose measure that would fix so many of our problems.

If I had to align myself with a political party it would have to be the Democrats of course, but I would prefer not to. I generally agree with the generalization that Republicans are ****ing assholes and Democrats are ****ing pussies.

Here check out this Republican candidate for Governor of Tennessee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOlM1pPMNBc

I don't associate myself with either side; when an issue arises I'll decide how I feel by my own terms and feelings, not a political party's.

Forcing someone to pay for health insurance when its affordable so that they don't leech the system when they do get in medical trouble is hardly slavery and is not even close to the most severe violation of rights in our nation's history.

I'm much more concerned about wiretapping, how much can be done to an innocent civilian these days without cause and without a warrant, and torture. I never understood why conservatives overlook these violations of rights.

Forcing people to rely on the national government for the basics of life may not be slavery.

What are you talking about?

What are you talking about?

You really didn't see the connection?

In that case, I'm sorry for confusing you.

It's funny how you always try to defend and justify something so wrong with something you think is right... And yes, there is more severe violations of rights in our nation's history, but guess what? We're not talking about anything else besides the Health Care Bill...

Guess what? You still haven't told me exactly which rights are being violated, which parts of the bill include such things and what clause of the constitution it violates.

That has nothing to do with the subject we are discussing/debating, now Isn't it?

You went off on a tangent and ignored the things I requested of you.

But, let me get this straight... You're a-okay with our government MAKING you buy something weather you like it or not yet you are against the government spying on you with out your permission?

Yes. I'm ok with the government mandating people to pay for health insurance that is affordable, (the government will make it affordable for anyone working).

You really didn't see the connection?

In that case, I'm sorry for confusing you.

Its not slavery.

Guess what? I don't recall you ever requesting... Maybe do your own research?

Sorry it was the other thread. And no I shouldn't have to do the research, its not up to me to prove a negative.

One definition of a slave is to be control of someone, to make that person do something that the person doesn't want to do, no? For an example: One brother breaks mother's house window, but the younger brother sees other brother do it, and the older brother doesn't want to get into trouble, instead of getting into trouble by mother because of what younger brother might say to mother, he offers younger brother an offer... That offer is to be a slave for a day to younger brother wont tell mother... For that day as a slave, younger brother can make older brother do anything that he doesn't want to do even though he agreed to be his slave for a day...

Even though the Bill got passed, the President signed it into law, it still makes people do something that they don't want to do... If you can't get that into your head for you to understand, than you're so blinded that it's beyond belief...

You are the one who is blinded and has been coached to hate a certain President no matter what he does.

What would you have wanted him to do to reform the health care system? You do realize that all the major Europeans guarantee healthcare for all their citizens and that its even a basic right as written into some of their constitutions? We are just such a pathetic country that we let private industry profit off of people dying and denying care.

I understand that its forcing people to buy health insurance. As of right now we the taxpayers are paying for those people when they get injured or very sick. Anyone that is interested in living wants to have health insurance.

Exactly, it was in a other thread, and no matter what I say or the facts you see

What facts sir?!

you will defend the guy no matter what

Not true.

even if he lies and makes/made promises that he didn't keep/can't keep...

He didn't, and I haven't been faced with facts showing that he did.

I'm sure you are unable to do your own research by the tone of your messages, saying that others MUST prove something?

Why can't you do your own research on things and find out the lies and deceptions for yourself instead of being lazy and have others do it for you?

Because these all of the promises he broke were on that link I gave you.

That's what's so wrong in this World today, laziness and just go along with the crowd, even if the crowd is wrong or being lied to...

The majority of people disapprove of Obama. Am I the crowd? Am I really lazy? Is it really up to me to research something and prove something that I believe isn't even true just to refute a false point created by you or some other?

I'm blinded? Sir, I do believe you are, you are giving excuses after excuses on why Mr. Obama didn't make a promise to the American people when in fact he did, I saw him on TV and heard his voice say something that he would make sure it would get done

Please tell me specifically what you are talking about.

and if he doesn't keep his word then he IS a liar, plain and simple...

You have made a false promise in your life before so abiel, you are a liar.

because I think for myself unlike some people...

That's good and if you are trying to imply that I don't think for myself then you are sorrily mistaken.

The Healthcare Bill has more BAD than good

I disagree with that.

it has flaws and it doesn't make everyone happy... Yes, I know It's hard to make everyone happy but that doesn't mean make a Bill into law that would effect so many people in a bad way instead of in a good way...

The simple fact is that it doesn't affect people in a bad way. Unlike the Medicare Part D passed by Bush. Everything you say is so ambiguous, what provisions in the health care bill affect people in a bad way?

Oh really? I'm a taxpayer and I don't want to be forced to BUY something I don't want to have... What gives you the right to claim that anyone would want health insurance?

Again I have said this, anyone who values their own life or their body wants health insurance, and to not have it is to be a leech of the system. Why would anyone not want healthcare? Why would anyone not want to be able to be treated when sick? Why would anyone not want to be able to have fingers and such re-attached after an accident?

What facts am I excusing? I have asked this over and over..

There's facts every where, watch Mr. Obama on video when he makes promises before he was president but yet when he became president, he didn't keep/deliver...

Ffs, I don't deny that fact! I just don't understand why you have a problem with it. Sorry bro, but this is a democracy, the candidates present what they are going to try and do once president, and once elected they try their best to fulfill those promises. It's not a dictatorship though! Obama can't just write and pass his own legislation, he has the minority political party dedicated to filibustering almost everything he proposes.

Then why are you debating me on the subject of Mr. Obama didn't break any promises when in fact he did...

I wasn't initially, I was debating Joshua concerning the point that he initially pushed at me.

All he did is he hyped everyone, to tell them what they want to hear so they would vote him into office...

Actually what he did was explain his stances on issues, what he thought should be done, and what he would do/try to do once in office.
