Rewarding Members

Do you believe a member should be rewarded for contributing to a community, maybe going above and beyond what a typical member might do? What sorts of rewards should given out to members and for what reasons?

Do you believe a member should be rewarded for contributing to a community, maybe going above and beyond what a typical member might do?
Depends on how constant they go above and beyond. Some members start out as heavy contributors and then they slow down, get bored or worse they leave.

What sorts of rewards should given out to members and for what reasons?

• Member of the Month - The one member who has gone above and beyond during a particular month.
• Top Thread Creator for a particular month
• Top Poster for a particular month

If any or all mentioned on the above list continue to contribute to the community more than other members, they should be promoted to a special group (such as our Elite Group).

If a forum administrator is looking to add a staff member, they should look at who in the special group they feel would make a good staff team player.
