This has piqued my interest. Can you please elaborate? I saw a movie called "Children of Men" and it was where people quit having kids and the entire world just went into some kind of chaos. Does it have anything to do with the abortion rate, just people not breeding, or is the miscarriage rate?
People not breeding due to society reaching the point of decadency where the rich minority (mostly corrupted politicians) prioritize self-indulgence over everything else, and the resulting high emigration numbers on the side of the poor majority.
My country is continuously losing population due to people leaving it in search for a better life, and those who are still here (like me), are too busy fending for ourselves, keeping ourselves fed and clothed, so children are something not everyone can afford to have. Personally, I wouldn't want them even if I were rich because I firmly believe it would be selfish and morally irresponsible of me to bring another life into this pathetic grossly overpopulated world of pain and suffering, full of bipedal monsters.
We had a census last year. The entire country's population is approximately 3.8 million, which is around 400,000 people less than 2011 when the previous census took place, and the number continues to decline. More people die each year than are born.
Of course, abortions and miscarriages also happen, but their number is negligible compared to the fact the country is simply running out of humans. Politicians have done everything in their power to make it happen. One of our former presidents once said that anyone who doesn't like the way the country's leaders lead it are free to leave elsewhere, which is exactly what people have been gradually doing for years now.
Simple. Once the number of retired people outweighs the number of active workers, the retirement fund will be drained. If it pours out faster than it pours in, it's gonna dry out sooner or later. Also, if the population number continues to decline, worker shortage is going to start killing jobs, which is already happening in some areas. Some employers can't find workers at all, no matter how much money they offer. At the same time, some people are complaining how they can't get a job, but when offered one, they nitpick over every single detail, looking for a reason to turn it down and continue doing nothing. Decadency.
