Have you ever been in a roommate situation? flatmate?

Describe your best one? Describe your worst one? Describe your whole roommate experiences?

You mean other than living with one's spouse and/or offspring?

Those are people you love, are in love with and/or they are your family, so no. :P
..but if you want to tell us your experience living with them, feel free!

I will have to have a roommate when I go to a University, but other-wise, thus far in life, no, I haven't.

OH WHERE TO BEGIN. . .

My past roommate was a mess.
I thought it would be fine since she's practically a littler sister to me.
I was wrong.

This girl did not know how to cook or clean.
Her boyfriend was there ALL. THE. TIME.
He was even worse!
Whenever I had friends over or it was just me he wouldn't even bother talking to me.
He'd shut himself up in my roommate's room the WHOLE DAY.
He would use my kitchen stuff without asking AND LEAVE THE MESS.
She went and got a rabbit which made a ton of noise
and would smell 'cause she was hardly home to take proper care of it.

Top it all off,
she went ahead and found a new place to move into. . .
AND DIDN'T BOTHER TELLING ME UNTIL A FEW DAYS SHE WAS GOING TO MOVE OUT.
She didn't even bother pay her share of the rent before she moved out either.

I had roommates before, one time I was living with a couple I worked with and the guy would always send his girlfriend to her moms house when he was at work. He wasn't comfortable with me being alone in the house with her. Also they kept everything separate. We had separate toilet paper in the bathroom, our own specified shelves in the kitchen for our separate foods and even separate sponges to wash our own dishes in the sink. They were weird.

I had another one who was in full party mode all the time, tons of drunken strangers in my house all the time. That arrangement didn't last long and we weren't friends anymore afterwords.
