Running a Forum as a Business

I am a professional blogger. When I say professional, what I mean is I blog for money and I make money from my blogs. I am also running forums. My forums earn barely enough to maintain their own expenses, but one day I would like my forums to make money. Have you ever thought about running a forum as a business.
Like you, I'd consider myself a professional blogger in a way. I earn profit from blogging. They not only pay for themselves but they put money in my pocket.
Forums are different. They're way harder to monetize.
I suppose if you tried to treat them like blogs, you might do better but because they are so heavily user-contributed, it will be difficult.
I think if you can make a membership like influencers do with Patreon, you might be able to get away with a monthly fee.
If you offer a forum that is valuable enough, you could charge for membership.

Nope, I don't think it would be possible. If I tried to turn this place into a business everyone would leave.
I don't think it would.

I run mine like a business in terms of setting goals and objectives.

But I don't make people feel like they are a part of the business process.

Strategy and planning never hurts. It is good to make goals and perform activities to complete your goals.

This forum has already surpassed my expectations and met any goals I had for it, so I suppose its time to make some new goals!

I earn from adsense from my blogs, my blogs generate organic traffic as well as social traffic. If I can build traffic on forums, I might be able to do that but since forums are user-generated, it is difficult to maintain content quality and SEO.
