So Ive been going around some forums and it seems that a lot of them have the same topics (some even copied and pasted). How many times can you really discuss the same topic over and over?

Do you like to see unique threads on forums you go to? If you dont see something unique, will you make an effort to make some unique threads there?

if i see the same threads in places i just tend to ignore them..................same with 'games' threads

i used to start lots of threads......dont now.....kinda burnt out

Yes, I like to see unique threads on a forum. Other than here at Off Topix, if I don't see something unique I do nothing. If the staff can't be bothered making unique threads, then why should I waste my effort doing so?

Quite a few times, depending on the topic and the people. Eg: A good debate.

Unique threads are not a must as such. Unique replies are far more important.

I honestly don't care as I don't expect anything to be unique because there is enough forums out there plus the fact we are all human and live on the same planet to not expect it. Everything has been done in some form and to think otherwise is just silly imo.

Thats true but talking about the same thing over and over gets old no matter how many different points of view there are.

After the 100th PoV it might get boring...

I think what you have to remember is that although there may be some

'same' threads, you won't see all the same members. So if you go on

a forum and see threads you've seen elsewhere, that doesn't mean

that all the other members on that forum have seen them before.

Also

If somebody on this forum has or starts a forum of their own, what if

they have posted threads here ? Does it mean that they can't post them

at their own forum because if members from here go to their forum they

are going to see 'same' threads ?

I do agree that it's nice to see 'unique' threads on forums but in reality,

considering the number of forums, blogs and websites on the internet,

is there really such a thing as a 'unique' topic ?
