I didn't know this.

The trademark dish that is made at a bakery in VW’s Wolfsburg factory since the 1970s are branded as Volkswagen CurryWurst, curry for ketchup and wurst for sausage. Though a classic Currywurst consists of pork meat, the one made at VW consists of a secret special spice mixture that makes it unique. VW also offers a vegetarian alternative.

In the lower Saxony region of Germany and capital Berlin, the sausages have become so popular that in 2012, VW made 6.4 million of them — more than cars at 5.74 million units.
...
“We want to expand it to other countries as well. There are requests from other European countries as well as countries all over the world like Brazil, China and India,” said a VW AG spokesperson. “The problem is that it is not possible to export the Currywurst into non-European countries. Therefore a manufacturer is needed that can produce the sausage after our recipe, which is a secret.”

Volkswagen uses only German pork of stress-free breeding pigs to create the sausage. “Further instead of the common 45-55% fat, we only use 20% in our sausages,” said the spokesperson.

Cool. Who says they can't do other things besides make cars? To bad I'll never get to try one. :P
