I've never understood the practice of "saving the best for last".
Why? By the time you're done with the stuff you don't like, the other is cold.
I also don't get "turning your plate" as depicted in a TV commercial a couple of years ago so that 'whateverinthehellitis' is closest to you. And I have seen people do it when served a full plate in restaurants.
It is all on the same plate, and destined for the same fate, why turn your plate a certain way?
Maybe I just missed something in my upbringing.

I eat the burger first and then start on the fries. Weird, eh?
