Have you ever saved someones life?

My mom saved my life when I was a kid by getting me to the hospital in time before my appendix burst (which can be fatal)...



Ive saved a couple friend's life by calling 911 or dropped them in front of the hospital when they overdosed on certain things (back in my shameful teenager / early 20's partying days)..



One time my friend was going to walk into the street (without looking) and I grabbed his arm and jerked him back. A second later a car sped by that would have hit and killed him had I not stopped him.

I've had to call an ambulance for my fiance a few times when he's been having severe asthma attacks but I've never given anyone the kiss of life or anything like that

Being a Paramedic the answer is I have saved several lives.

It's an amazing feeling but the bad side is we lose some as well. No matter how hard you try the outcome isn't always good. I had a call last night where there was a terrible accident. The mother was DOS and a three year old child is now clinging to life. I will visit the child tonight when I go on duty but he kept screaming last night for his Mom.
