My co-worker and dear friend was killed in a car accident a few days ago. She was on her home from work. A 17 year old punk was speeding, lost control of the car and hit her car T-bone style (driver side). She was killed instantly. She leaves behind a husband and a three year old daughter. She also leaves behind many friends (myself included) that will never forget her. The funeral was today and it was the most heart wrenching thing I have ever had to go through. I have to, however, remain strong so I can help her husband and daughter in any way I can.

The 17 year old punk (and I'm being nice calling him that) walked out of this accident with a few broken ribs and nose when his air bag engaged. He took a mother and friend away from all her loved ones and I hope and pray he has nightmares about this accident for the rest of his life.

RIP my dear friend and I will never, ever, never forget you!

I know how it feels. Growing up I had a friend who was killed in an auto accident. Sorry for your loss.

Where did this accident take place? I ask because for most states the driving laws are very strict. Heck, by 17 I was only still on a learner's permit and needed to have someone in the car with me at all times.

Now. Was the punk charged with vehicular homicide?

I don't know what the charges are right now. If I find out, I will give an update.

He has a Junior Operator's License, there are no passenger restrictions (other than not having more passengers than there are safety belts).

Thank you again everyone who responded. I appreciate your kind words.
