how do you feel about school closures due to "budget issues"?

and these "budget issues"?

what, do you mean the district school board mismanaged budgets?

why should schools be forced to be shut down?

where is all the money going to?

where is all the money that is for the schools?

why is schools being punished for incompetence in the management of school districts?

I've seen a few schools close due to declining enrollment, which kind of makes sense. Why keep an entire school open to accommodate a small amount of students? It takes a lot of money to keep a school up & running so I suppose that's how budget issues tie into it. But sometimes they'll kill off a school with low numbers and send all those kids to a school with good numbers, which creates overcrowded classrooms and that's not a good thing.

Maybe if the endless waste from hundreds of government agencies like the CDC were not spending almost 600,000 to see if monkeys who throw poop are smarter then ones that do not we would have less waste and less school closures.

or just the endless amount of waste that the school districts does each year?

don't even need to mention anything else or any other program/agency, etc.!

Yes, this comes from overspending/wasteful spending on various other services and tax (caps) issues in the state/community. I don't know exactly where the money goes or why we're all falling behind, but it's an issue that isn't being tackled properly.

why should schools be forced to be shut down?

They shouldn't be unless there is low attendance and it seems financially wasteful to keep running a school not running at near capacity.

where is all the money going to?

I wish I knew.

where is all the money that is for the schools?

Again, I wish I knew.

why is schools being punished for incompetence in the management of school districts?

Because it's the people on the front lines and the children attending the school who get the brunt of the punishment. Administration doesn't work directly inside the school on a day-to-day basis. They can still keep their job in a district and just shift priorities to a different school and/or different administrative duties. Whereas, the teachers, the janitors, the school resource officer, the lunch staff, the substitutes, counselors, everyone in the building on a daily basis miss out on opportunities and job advancement or security because they are the bottom line.

exactly, and it's a damn shame...

i thank you for pointing that out, because that's my main issue about this...

from the competence of the management, people's lives, both students and the school employees are effected and that's not a good sign for the economy or the future of america and future generations, because this is happening everywhere...
