As most of you already know, school is back in session. Some of you may have new classes or a couple new electives, but for myself, I have all new classes this semester. Fortunately, after the first day of orientation and going over the rules & procedures, I believe I'll like my classes. I'll share my classes with you:

Life P.E.

In life PE, you run around the track, and learn about physical fitness. If the weather is bad or too cold, you stay inside and do book work. Considering it shouldn't be too bad of weather soon, we'll probably only be doing physical activities for the most part.

World History

Basically from year 1500 to the present of material being covered. Teacher is young, seems pretty cool & reasonable. He doesn't believe in making you write tons of notes and he tends to play a lot of review games during class. Overall, history is not my favorite subject, but I'll listen, complete assignments, and study for tests. Should be fine.

Algebra I

Math is my best subject & the teacher has been teaching for 18 years, so I should be fine. Nothing too complicated from the sounds of it, should be interesting.

Theater

I absolutely dread getting in front of people & acting, but the teacher is awesome and hilarious. He is down to earth and isn't out to get you, rather help you get out of your shell and develop good acting skills. My sister had him, not too hard, just mainly participation.

Overall, finishing off this school year should be interesting and better than last semester. I hope the way it looks remains the same throughout the year.

We did our classes by the year in high school. No class changes half way through the year.

Did you have more than four classes? In middle school, we had seven classes, and only one elective class changed half way through the year.

No I had 7 I think.

Yep, we have four per semester; therefore, our classes extend to about an hour and a half, instead of having all 7 for the entire year, so we have more class time but fewer courses. Easier on us and teachers, plus we usually get more accomplished and have little homework if any.

We always had 7-8 classes in elementary and middle school, but high school has 5 classes. My schedule changes at the semester, which will end on the 15th. I will only change 3 classes and keep my electives - band & athletics. It's different for everyone depending on what electives they have.

I hate my new semester. I have a study hall and I hate the teacher. He says Study hall is a privalage but sitting in a quiet room without talking for an hour and forty five minutes is kinda hard not to sleep.

I got speech, where you have to make speechs, neccesary for my graduation this year..

Well, from Year 8-10, everyone does:

- English

- Maths

- Society and Environment (Social Studies, Civics)

- Science

- Religious Education

- Health & PE

We also get electives. Year 10s (me in a few weeks) only get 3 electives, 1 which goes for the whole year and 2 for each semester. Anyway, I'll be doing...

- English

- Maths Extension

- Society & Environment

- Science (Physics and Chemistry)

- Religous Education

- Health & PE

- Japanese Specialist

- Drama

- Food & Nutrition

I won't be doing the last 2 next year, I know that already. I didn't make this too complicated, did I?

Nah...I was able to understand it...and that's saying something. XD

My schedule that I have right now (until the semester ends next week):

Band

- Advisory - (Study Hall)

AP English III

US History

- Lunch -

Spanish II

Girls Athletics

Next Semester:

Band

- Advisory - (will get a different teacher at the semester change)

Honors Algebra II

Physics

- Lunch -

Spanish III

Girls Athletics

The times are...

1st Period - 7:50 - 8:40

Advisory - 8:45 - 9:10

2nd Period - 9:15 - 10:45

3rd Period - 10:50 - 12:20

Lunch - 12:20 - 12:50

4th Period - 12:55 - 2:25

5th Period - 2:30 - 3:20

All classes are an hour and a half long, except 1st and 5th, which are 50 minutes (they are usually electives, but not always - mine are electives). Lunch is 30 minutes, and there are 5 minutes between each class.

Wow, you start school early! We have:

Homeroom: 8:30 - 8:50.

Period 1: 8:50 - 9:50.

Period 2: 9:50 - 10:50.

Recess: 10:50 - 11:20

Period 3: 11:25 - 12:10

Period 4: 12:10 - 12:55

Lunch: 12:55 - 1:25

Period 5: 1:30 - 2:25

Period 6: 2:25 - 3:20.

Period 3 & 4 are the same class, though...so it's really like 1 big period.

Last year was the first year we started school that early. It used to be at 8:20. High school is the only school that starts at 7:50, too.

I hardly ever wake up early enough to get there for 8:30, so 7:50 would be annoying

Yeah, when I was in high school it was the same way. Once you signed up for classes, elective or mandatory, those were the ones you took all year round. You didn't take say, English Spanish, health whatever during the first semester and then say, keyboarding, science, whatever during the second semester. Once you registered for classes, you were stuck with them. Although when I was in middle school the way Jughead does his schedule is how ours was done.

I'm a sophomore in high school and nothing really changes in the new semester. We start our second on the first day of February, and only my elective classes are any different.

For the first semester I have Music and Swimming for electives, and in the second semester I have Dramatics and Work Experience (helps me get into a job).

Yeah, only my electives really change in the second semester, and nothing else. I find it odd that your entire schedule changes in the middle of the year Jughead, because that is unusual for me.

I still have Art in the second semester but my other elective, which is Theater, is changing. I'm taking a Creative Writing class starting next month.

We have finals in the next few weeks, where we have to take a bunch of tests for Science, English, as well as Math. Math isn't really my best subject, but I'll (hopefully) manage to pass it on the finals.
