anic:I went to pick up a pot off the stove. Somehow one of the mitts I was wearing caught fire. Thank goodness the kitchen sink was right there. I threw the mitt in the sink and squelched the fire. Also was happy that I didn't get burned.

Yep. I was in a heated political discussion with 2 of my friends and I tend to talk with my hands when I'm worked up. The more worked up I am, the more my hands move. I wasn't paying close enough attention to the lit cigarette in my hand and unfortunately I didn't have my hair in a ponytail. My hair touches my butt, so there's lots of it, and I gestured one way and turned my head another way and the next thing I knew, I had a small hunk of my hair in my lap. Thankfully my hair stylist was able to sort of blend the short, burnt ends into my next hair cut. *WHEW!!!* I was sure I'd have to get a hair cut with bangs, but she saved me from that humiliation.
I'm sure it won't be long before I do it again. My middle name should have been "clumsy".
So your heated discussion literally became heated.
