Scenes played out like a colorful opera,
Your heinous deeds as a monster begin foster.
Every ounce of transgression sends indigestion.
Your heart burns with every act of your aggression,
The screams of your victims clogs your lungs.
With every breath their utterances escape your own tongue.
You try to sleep but the noise overcomes…
So, commit your sins, do your dues,
And when it’s over… sing your blues…

As you tuck yourself in at night,
Lay your head to rest,
When the noise fades away and the sun sets,
Can you accept what you have done today?

Can you accept your shade of conscience?

The turbulence in your heart,
As memories rock your mind,
The turbulence in your body,
As you rock in your bed from side to side.

You try to be consoled,
But you can’t find the words in your soul.
You try to tell yourself it’s going to be okay,
But you can’t live with what you’ve done today.

As you tuck yourself in at night,
Lay your head to rest,
When the noise fades away and the sun sets,
Can you accept what you have done today?

Your heart can’t be still,
Your body succumbs to the ill,
Your lungs are numb with the chill,
You try to fight your conscience, but you don’t have the will.

Your heart can’t be still,
Your body succumbs to the ill,
Your lungs are numb with the chill,
You try to fight your conscience, but you don’t have the will.

You try to fight your shade of conscience.

As you tuck yourself in at night,
Lay your head to rest,
When the noise fades away and the sun sets,
Can you accept what you have done today?

Can you accept your shade of conscience?

You hear your conscience talking to you, it’s saying –
We both know what occurred,
You’ll have to answer to the justice you obscured.

Your shoulders sink deeper with every word.

Every moment comes like a vivid arrow to your chest,
You console yourself but can’t find any rest,
Because you see it all,
Scenes played out like a colorful opera.
Your heinous deeds as a monster begin foster.
Every ounce of transgression sends indigestion,
And your heart burns with every act of your aggression.
The screams of your victims clogs your lungs.
And with every breath their utterances escape your own tongue.
So, commit your sins, do your dues,
And when it’s over…
Sing your blues…

As you tuck yourself in at night,
Lay your head to rest,
When the noise fades away and the sun sets,
Can you accept what you have done today?
