What are your favorite productions of plays that you've seen or stuff you read by Shakespeare ?

If you take each bit of work as an individual, most of the work with Shakespeare's name on it is pretty good. When you look at it with a broad spectrum, it does have some fairly repetitive themes and gets a little bland overall. I think, however, that can be said about a lot of authors and poets.

MacBeth is my personal favourite, because I got the title role in a production; Sonnet 35 is a favourite of mine in terms of his poetry - I've even produced a musical recording of it. The Turtle and the Phoenix is my favourite of all his works, however, though.

I visited his birthplace of Stratford-Upon-Avon and watched a production of Romeo and Juliet there that included motorbikes on stage! That was fun!

He's a talented individual, but I have difficulty reading his works. They're definitely not easy peasy lemon squeezy.
