I HAD shoes that used to look like that (but they are brown) I should take a picture of what they have become.

A lot of people go out about how great converse are so I thought why not get a pair? I needed some new ones anyways.

They are worn out... I go through shoes very quickly for some reason.

Mine normally last 2 years.

Do you sleep with them on? XD I can't imagine how you can go through them in 6 months

I wear them to work.. I am walking all day long for 8+ hours.

That might explain it. The only shoes of mine that get really worn are my school shoes. And they can normally last a year (a whole year, not just a school year).
