I don't think so, because it's jut not fair and a person's basic "freedom of speech" is being taken away.

While we all respect the freedom of speech, it's the freedom to spam I really have a problem with. In the early days, we tried reasoning with spammers, like hey, we run an advertising forum, so you don't need to spam - just place a decent ad. Dumb spammers ignored our best efforts and kept on spamming. Nowadays, we just clobber them without warning.
