What is the one thing that everybody should have in the glovebox of their vehicle?

car book manual and maybe parking holder stickers :)

Or a gun :P

I mean how much gear you can add to the box, it's not that big. Not like you can put a bag of 500kgs of weed ;P

The big question is, does anyone actually keep gloves in their glovebox?

Nope. Nothing really. I used to put important papers in my glove box like stuff I might need to take into the license office to renew my license or get new plates. That's about it.

Someone broke into my car once and stole my GPS and a few other minor things out of it. That GPS wasn't cheap. I paid 150 dollars for it. I'm glad I never left a pistol in the glovebox. They would have stole that too.

Important documents (insurance mainly). I don't have a car manual but I have it on my phone so that's not an issue. I also have the wheel lock/nut thing (no idea what you call it). Other than that, there's not much in mine.

Gun would cost far more than the GPS and worse if it was loaded and ready to aim and shot. But things can happen. Leaving a kid in the car and someone can save and steal the kid ;P

Having loaded guns anywhere is surely a recipe for accidents and for people doing stupid and deadly things in the heat of emotional moments, it's just something that makes no sense to me.

Won't be surprised in that matter, people have guns under their seats and it's loaded.

You should have your registration and insurance info in your glovebox.
Isn't it bad to have your registration in the glovebox? Over here in the UK, it's a sort of 4 page form thing with details of your car and mini forms to transfer your car to a new owner etc. So it's better for us to just keep it at home.

Registration and Insurance Card along with a pencil/paper to write down the SoB who hits you :P

I don't think anyone mentioned a torch either, but some kind of light source is always a good thing to have around in case you break down at night.
