So, I really suck at coming up with something that is good, simple and isn't going to break my wallet.

Do any of you all have some good meals that fit those requirements? I'd be extremely interested in giving them a go :P

Chinese fried rice is cheap where I live :P

Any sort of rice and bean dish is typically going to cost you less money to make and enjoy as long as you have seasoning ingredients as well, but you can find cheap salt and pepper, too. Soups are relatively easy to make, as is pasta. Vegetables can be purchased cheap as well, but look for frozen vegetables as they both last longer and can be used when needed.

You can usually find chicken breast for under $2 a pound if you shop at the right stores, not sure about your area. I stock up, freeze them into individual portions and pull out one or two breast for dinner. An easy way to make chicken delicious is to cover it in lemon pepper and cook it up on the george foreman grill (if you have one). A can of corn, drained and cooked in some margarine or butter with salt and pepper added is a good side, also a cup of rice with a couple chicken bullion cubes cooked with it is also a good side.

Mmm, wow, thanks guys! I appreciate the replies! I'm going to have to refer back to this topic when I go grocery shopping next :)

They're both right, Daniel. :)
