It's utterly tragic! The kid's going to be scarred for life, his parents are going to be in serious trouble, he'll likely also be in serious trouble, the teacher still may die and a class have been left traumatized. It's just so needless.
While not ignoring the victim; Why arrest a 6 year old child? They don't know better when it comes to making decisions no matter how poor. They're still a baby. Proper guidance, some strong lessons on morality, and therapy will be enough to mend the issue.

I imagine therapy will be mandated, but beyond that it's really hard to understand where it goes from here. 6 is a very, very iffy age when it comes to punishing them for something like this. Do they know right from wrong? To an extent, yes, but...six years old...
