Slang

Me and most of my friends always talks in Scottish slang

I've never used it in a forum though

I dislike using slang and avoid it as much as possible. My speech may not be perfect and needs improvement, and my writing needs even more work.

However, I can't stand slang. Over the years, I might have picked up a few words without realising it, but most of the time, I steer clear of it.

There's a significant reason for this, but that's another topic I don't feel like discussing.

I say Yall in an every day setting even though im from Maryland lmao

We use ya'll and fixin (what Jay said - about to do something). There's a lot of other slang we use here, too.
I’ll never understand why Texans say fixing. 🤣

Like “i’m fixing to go eat”.
“I’m fixing to go to the store”.

I had to get to this slang after being here for so long lmao

Maybe they mean, "I'm gonna ......."
or "I'm thinkin' about it "
or "Just a sec...hang on, y'all..."

:ROFLMAO:

I'm not from the south, but regularly use y'all. It sounds better.

It's a lot different here in Brooklyn, Ny.

People use:

n-word- when referring to friends

This has been a huge pet peeve of mine for years. I hate how a slur became so normalized, and the worst part, the people that [bshould[/b] be offended by being called that embrace it like they are so fucking cool.
