Is it acceptable if parents smoke around their children?

No, smoking is horrible first of second hand, Someone in my family is 40 but she looks like she is 80 from smoking and might die soon from lung cancer, her daughter who doesn't smoke has a lung problem from her.

If the parent wants to smoke they should do it outside and away from the kids. I grew up with people who smoked and it is hard to stand the smell anymore.

My father smoked when he was young, but he was careful about it so that I didn't even know about it until long after he quit. If you have to smoke when you've got kids, that's the way to do it. Otherwise, ditto what everyone else and all of those commercials said.

Even then, I only EVER smoked outside.
