Snow, some people hate it and some people love it, which type of person are you? Personally I love snow. It might be wet and cold, but it is so beautiful. I live in the south and we don't get a whole lot of snow here. Actually, last year we didn't get any at all. This past summer was raining, very raining and wet which tells us that our winter will be bad. Chances are we will get snow and I cannot wait. Anyone else here like snow? If not, why not?

I live near the Canadian border and our winters are horrible. Snow falls can be anywhere between a dusting to over 3 feet of snow. Snow for me is very expensive. Costs me $35 each time my driveway has to be plowed. Some days, it has to be plowed 2 or 3 times. Not to mention the cost of the roof shovelers. The weight of heavy wet snow on the roof can cause the roof to cave in. The roof shovelers are $150 per hour. So, with all of that being said, I HATE snow!

That's a huge expense, how can people afford that, if it is a regular occurrence?

I love the snow, it snows about 45 minutes from here and I can go see and play in the snow without having to deal with it at home.

We're in for a "winter mix" tomorrow night.

Freezing rain, sleet, ice, and maybe some snow.

What it means is that tomorrow morning we're meeting my brother at Sam's club and we will both stock up on essentials....

booze, toilet paper, pork ribs, and other such essentials...

Before the storm.

And then, once the weather turns bad, we'll go to the local market and watch people who do not prepare beforehand buy all the milk, eggs and bread in the store.

I couldn't imagine having to pay for snow removal services and I'm originally from up north. Basically all we did was shovel our driveways, didn't get to heavy on the roof too often but we did that ourselves too if we had to lol

It's very pretty.
Otherwise... it's cold and wet and slippery. Not that great if you have to be somewhere.

In northern Illinois where I live, we've already gotten snow on a couple of occasions! I do not mind the snow, but the type of snow we get in Illinois isn't exactly picturesque. Rather than the fluffy snow that you see in Christmas movies, it's slushy and yucky. It's definitely not as fun as the brochures make it seem. :P

I LOVE snow - As long as I'm not walking on ice.

Don't get it very often here though.

Do you get a lot every winter?
