Hello all,

I just wanted to let you know that Off Topix will be converting to a different forum software on Friday (April 12th). All members, topics and posts will be transferred over to the new version.

We will be using MyBB, we are switching to this software because IPB requires a $25 payment every six months to keep this board updated. Keeping the software current in addition to paying for hosting and domain renewals is getting a little too pricey for me. Using MyBB will allow me to keep the board up to date at all times without forking out $25 every few months.

I will be selling our IPB license to help fund our next hosting renewal, domain renewal and I will probably get a couple professionally designed themes for the MyBB board. If you are interested in purchasing our IPB license, please see this topic.

The reason I am giving you advanced notice is because you will need to reset your password via email. Please make sure the email address associated with your account here is valid and working.

They'll be restored, it might take some time to get every member restored though because I'll have to do it manually. Of course I will make members actively logging into the newly converted MyBB board my first priority.

Just wanted to mention that avatar size on MyBB is 100 x 100. I just re-sized mine so I'll be ready when the change happens.

All? Shouldn't think so.

Up-to-date versions of Opera and Safari should be fine. I'd test it myself but I don't have them installed on this laptop so... these are the MyBB forums running MyBB. See if it works.

If you can access this just fine you can access the MyBB platform just fine

I sure feels like that sometimes.

I tried to install IE10 today to see if stuff would work in it... I gave up after about an hour of messing with cmd. You'd think they'd be able to create working software for their own operating system.
