@EE: I didn't write this and this is only a scenario. I think most of us know this is NOT a true story. It was put in this scenario to make you feel that this is true and happening.

Clearly choosing one over the other means having favorites which isn't exactly commendable for a parent to have when it comes to their children. Once again, you can't trust a person devoid of integrity and character from being honest with you. He might end up just killing them both regardless of what you do. You might as well make an attempt at escaping as it's not like you are safe from ending up dead yourself.
