Well we need to be aware with what's going in space incase a meteor or comment is about to smack into us. But simply landing on empty planets and wandering around? Maybe not so much. It is cool though!

We're going to need to find another habital planet for after we've finished polluting this one up.

I love astronomy but honestly, I think that money could be used to help the people here on Earth. Billions of dollars are spent launching rockets, satellites when people are losing their homes & don't have food on the table. Viewing from a telescope like Hubble is one thing but we don't have to keep sending stuff up there to "just see".
I believe aliens exist & I also believe there are hospitable planets out there. To think we are the only beings out there is narcissistical.
With billions of planets just in our own Milky Way Galaxy, not to mention many other galaxies with their own supply of planets, you have to think there is life out there. We also have to step out of our thinking that ‘life’ may not be what WE look or act like. It’s mind-boggling the various beings, cultures that could be out there.
