Spotting someone you know in public

Fortunately I don't know a lot of people, but generally, no, I won't stop them to say hi. I like to keep to myself.

I do know people that will stop you for a rambling long slow freight train of a conversation, which I make an effort to avoid.

There's an old guy I know that'll follow me around the store & he just goes on & on. I do what you do, but it doesn't ward him off unfortunately 😞
