Staff arguing in public?

I was just on another forum and I seen staff arguing amongst each other in public forums. I thought this was pretty stupid. I bet they have private forums they could take it to or PM's. Things like that make a forum look bad to me.



What are your thoughts on staff arguing in public?

I think this makes a forum look bad as well. Ive seen it a few times. There is no reason for staff to be voicing their ill feelings towards each other in public. This will only lower morale amongst everyone on the forums. People can overlook regular members arguing but when staff are doing it, it seems to have a different effect.

As far as I am concerned, moderators can hate each other as much as they like - as long as they can work together. If their dislike of each other ever gets in the way of them performing their job, they should have exactly one warning before they’re removed.



In public:

Fighting or arguing with each other in public should be strictly forbidden. If they have a problem with another moderator they need bring it to them first. If they refuse to listen, take it to an admin.

If their arguing proves to be a problem or if they consistently bicker with another moderator, they should not expect to hold their position for long. Everyone is free to voice their opinion, but should do so in a cordial manner.

I loath when staff members fight and argue in public. It's very unprofessional and really unacceptable. They're there to preform a duties, arguing is counterproductive. If they have a problem with one another, they should take it to a private forum (which there probably is one on almost every forum out there) or take it to PM to get it solved and figured out.



This is actually happening a bit on a forum I Mod on and I am busting my butt to get it to stop. On the forum I'm an Admin/Founder on, Staff arguments in public would NEVER happen, I don't tolerate it and they know they'll be fired if caught doing so.

It makes not only the forum look bad but what member in their right mind would report a post and hope it was dealt with fairly?

I recently fell out with a fellow staff member of a forum I am a moderator on. We fell out in private and since then, I have continued to post on the forum as usual. I am civil and polite to the staff member I fell out with. Our issues with each other are totally seperate to our jobs on the forum. I agree with what others have said, to argue in public is unprofessional and uncalled for, not to mention unfair on the owner of the forum, and the other members of the forum.
