What kinds of things are said in your super secret staff forums?

Do you use this space to solely talk business? Chit chat with the staff? Gossip? All of the above?

On OT its mostly for chit-chat but we do utilize it for official business, brainstorming or how to deal with a problem member.

I think they are beneficial even if you only have one staff member. If you're just PM'ing each other about board issues and problem members that can get messy and unorganized. Better to keep it all in a specific forum.

They're always beneficial. On one forum I'm staff on we have the moderation type forums to discuss problem members, warning and stuff like that and also an off-topic forum for staff so we can separate the fun threads from the business type threads.

I don't have a staff forum on my board considering I've been flying solo for years now. But, if I were to have one, I'd probably have different sections, one for general staff chat and one that is all about improving the board, maybe with another forum or topic for troublesome users.

In most of the places that I am staff, we have the staff forum section to talk about what we need to improve on the forum. I am the type that is more about the business of the forum. So, discussing how we are going to keep the forum kicking is one great way to utilize the staff forum section.

shhh its a secret! lol nah mostly contest ideas and other aspects of my community gets talked about in this section. Staff promotions and other site related stuff as well.

Not recently but I have thought about running a member drive with a prize of a 3 month subscription to crunchyroll

I do not have a staff section, however, on a lot of forums where I am a staff there is are staff forums. On these forums we mostly talk about site issues. Sometimes we do talk about nonsense things but that's very rare.
