Have you ever stole food?

Like you ate someone's lunch, ate grapes at the grocery store while shopping, maybe someone in your house was saving something and you ate it, etc..

I caught someone eating out of the garbage today but that is not really stealing, its just unsanitary.

If something is in the garbage, then somebody doesn't want it and I wouldn't class it as stealing. Like you said, though, it's quite unsanitary, and I wouldn't think of doing it.

No, I've never stolen food. I've never needed to.

I ate a doughnut once while shopping but I paid for it when I checked out.

I accidentally stole a doughnut once..

I went to Wal-Mart and got it when I came in, ate it, and then forgot I had ate it

I eat food from the cafe at work occasionally, but when I work 10:30am - 3:00pm serving food all the time with no break... I get hungry.

If I've ever stolen food, I don't remember it. I mostly trade or ask for food, never steal.

I used to do that when my kids were small enough to sit in a shopping trolley (cart?) I'd give them a box of juice or a sweetie and pay for it at the till (check out). The ladies on the till never batted an eyelid. I guess they were used to it. And it kept the kids quiet while I shopped.

If you see a child stealing food it is usually a sign of abuse or neglect. We have an ADHD child at school who used to steal food out of other kids lunch boxes. It turned out that his mum withheld food whenever he was naughty and he is frequently naughty because of his condition.

Of course it's wrong and Social Services are working with the family. Many families do not understand their child's illnesses and do not know how to deal with them. We have quite a few ADHD kids whose families struggle with them. One child has PDA and his parents struggle too. These illnesses can come in many different forms as they are often only one part of a global problem for that child.

I stole a stick of gum from Wal-Mart whenever I was a little kid, mom found out and chewed me out worse than I chewed out the gum.
