Is stealing to feed a starving child wrong? Why / Why not?

I suppose not if you're stealing from a large chain supermarket or something. They can afford the loss and wont miss it.

If it's your only option to feed the child then no, but I'd like to point out that there's inherently something wrong with societies where that's your only option.

No, if there was a kid starving and I had no way to pay for it is steal food for the kid or if the kid starving stole, oh well..

It is wrong to steal, i know a LOT of big food stores throw away alot of food which is totaly fine which the kid could have gotten instead of stealing.

Sure if it's from large chains, (not so much small and personal businesses that will pay for that loss). However, the government are the only ones who can be blamed for this, as we should be helping those suffering from poverty in our own country before sending and paying for our soldiers to go off to wars that are not our own.

Funny how we can justify criminal activity if it is from "a large chain".

Maybe then if you didn't steal "that much" it would be OK from a smaller business.

And then, if you took 'a little extra'....

I think it is justified because I would rather feed a starving child than think about the moralities of stealing any day.
