So here's a few pictures I took this morning once it got daylight of the damage the storm caused last night.

Holy crap! That's a massive tree that came down. Your poor mothers truck! That tree also came so very close to the house as well. Thank goodness only that one branch actually got part of the roof. Who the heck is going to get that tree out of there?

Just so happy that none of you were hurt.

Well thanks to the Hispanic folk who've lived next door to us for for years, they came over the next day *which happened to be that Wednesday morning I took those pictures* along with one chain saw and helped cut it up. Managed to get a majority of it out of the way. And of course the city isn't taking any responsibility even though the tree that part came from is considered city property. In their view, it was an act of nature/Act of God. This all could have been avoided had they cut it down a few years ago when my mom asked about it but she got told that cause its alive, they weren't gonna do anything. Here's a few more pictures I took yesterday morning after the work that got put in during the cut up.

I didn't even think about taking pictures while it was being cut up. Ah wellz.

Mostly where we're putting the cut up parts. Same for the other side of the house.

That was very nice of your neighbors to come help cut it up. How the heck are you going to get all of the out of your yard now?

Oh yeah it works, the frame itself is what is ruined. But my mom doesn't want to take a chance though in driving it in case something else might be wrong. And yep sure was Jazzy! As for that, we're basically offering to anyone to come get what they want.

@Sci: Did your mom check with her homeowners insurance about the truck? My homeowners insurance covers property damage. That would include a vehicle that was damaged while on my property. Just a thought....
