Do you have any friends, family, or ever spoken to someone who stutters really bad?

Not so much stuttering but I've had friends who have had speech impediments, it can cause anxiety for the person but if you're supportive, it does make it a lot easier on them.

I can stutter or take a moment, I'm sure I have some issue, but I think it's due to me thinking fast, which is why I like typing or texting my stuff.

My brother has a friend who has a terrible stutter. It used to take him 5 minutes to say one sentence. He so intelligent but people automatically assume that he isn't or he's mentally disabled. At first I found it slightly irritating, but I love his views on things and it actually made me a lot more patient to hear what people have to say. He moved away last month and I hope he's doing well.

My Grandad (RIP) had a terrible stammer bless him, sometimes he really struggled with it.

We always thought it would have been pretty funny if he'd managed to get on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? with the 'phone a friend' lifeline.. He'd probably have taken the full 30 seconds saying hello!

Would of made for great television that! :D

I had witnessed and experienced people who stutter a lot, and these are stroke patients. I used to work in a hospital as a physiotherapist.
