Subway, Jimmy Johns, or other sandwich shops?

Which sandwich shops do you enjoy? I prefer Subway. I've eaten at our local Jimmy Johns a couple of times, and ... it was okay. I prefer the taste of Subway myself. A good Italian Herb 'n Cheese with Ham, Lettuce, Olives, Onion, and a sauce. Some days I prefer vinegar, some days onion teriyaki.

Those are the only two major sandwich chains in our town. We do have a small local place that's only one location, so I won't be giving that out for privacy reasons. They do have a good soup & sandwich deal there, though.

I tried Jimmy John's when they first opened up here; IMO, nothing special & did not return.
They're still here, so they must have improved...I should try again. :D

I just about always got the Spicy Italian sandwich until I got totally dedicated to their Spicy Italian Wrap. Until the price just about tripled.

We have a local 'area' sub shop, too; best I've ever eaten. But we don't get there often, they're two towns away up-river.

We have a pizza chain here, Ray's Pizza (gotta' be the most common name for an NY-style pizza place, lol), they make amazing subs! Of the Sub chains, though, I prefer Jimmy Johns, but in fairness, I haven't tried Jersey Mike's or Firehouse in a long time.

I eat Jimmy Johns more often just because other people want it, but Subway has always been my number one choice period.

There's a local place in my area called Super Subs which overstuffs their subs and are by far the best in that regard.

Love those overstuffed subs! :D

I actually prefer Blimpie and Quiznos but seeing how neither are around me, I will go with Subway. We do have Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's, and Firehouse Subs, I just haven't been to them.

They've been gone for so long that I'd almost forgotten about Quiznos; they had two locations here for a few years during the time of the Quiznos Coyote commercial & that was always my choice. Then 'poof' they were gone.

Neither's worth the money, babe.
Subway's the best of the lot although Jimmy John's is damn close.

There is a local place around here that has really good subs. Also the local grocery stores have a deli counter where they make subs on demand (with whatever you want on them) as well. Usually pretty good!

I miss them so much. One job I worked at always ordered food for us from there. Also, this is the first I'm hearing about that coyote lol. Probably wanted some food too.

If we're talking about chain restaurants, then Jimmy John's, but I prefer more local ones.
