Have you ever just all of a sudden have a member leave for no reason? Or even delete their self for no apparent reason? Even though you thought all was well?

Yes. But I did eventually find out what the problem was.

One other person just left being she thought I'd stolen her idea of band of the month :/

A couple of people have just left but I've always tried to find the problem.

Yeah, I remember reading about that stolen idea drama.

I had a member join a while back who wanted their self because this wasn't a proboards forum... They thought they would give another forum software a chance but in the end couldn't commit because it wasn't proboards. They PM'ed me and asked to be deleted because they said they felt like they shouldnt have an account if they were no longer be active here.

I thought it was silly. Especially since proboards is known to be the one of the worst forum solutions around

(thats not my own personal opinion, but thats what everyone else says).

I had a moderator quit another forum I ran once and refused to tell me why he was leaving... Out of all members who leave your forum, I would think staff are the only ones who should give a reason as to why.. Doesnt have to be too detailed.. It could just be a simple I dont want to do it anymore because I dont feel like it. or something like that.

I can definitely get with that kinda thing.

Yep, I've had this happen to me on numerous occasions - its called politics in my experience, with other administrators bad mouthing forums and getting to members

I recently had a member leave who was the highest poster on my site due to medical problems but no one major left for no reason.

Oh. Well that sucks. Hopefully that member is able to come back.
