Surprise party

Have you ever been a surprise party? What was the occasion?
Did everyone surprise you or were you involved in surprising someone else?

I went to one for my co-worker who was turning 60, his daughter came and invited a couple people from work and a bunch of his friends and family. His son took him out to the casino and when they got back home all 30 / 40 of us jumped out and yelled "Surprise!" ..he enjoyed it.

When I was in 7th grade me and my classmates made a surprise party for a girl from the class for her birthday. The party was in our classroom. I called the girl and I said that I left something in the classroom and she came with me.

Yes it was after school she was very surprised when she opened the door and everybody yelled "Surprise". I think she will never forget this.

I've been apart of a few pressurize parties, but have never had one thrown for me. I think it would be fun to have a surprise party for me, but unfortunately it's not a surprise if you plan one for yourself.

I helped organize a party for my Grandmother. It was her 80th birthday and we had all her children, and grandchildren, and great grandchildren present. My sister took her shopping and kept stalling and stalling until we could get everything in place. We had a big tent set up and had told her we would be fixing my sister's car under it because it was soooo hot that day. So she was expecting the tent when she pulled in. But then she walked around the corner to all her family happily greeting her, and she cried because she was so happy.

We did one for my Aunty for her 60th (I think) the whole of my Dad's side of the family was there. There are tonnes of them, they breed like rabbits every time I turn around there's a new person in the clan.
