sorry to the admins in advance if the video becomes a lot...

so in case anyone didn't know there's a fairly recent music genre called Synth Wave, it's an 80's techno revival style music and it's really nifty! way past cool and totally radical!

if anyone knows about it, post a vid of music, and share your love of this awesome Genre of music.

I'll start: Dana Jean Phoenix & Denovomutans - Omni Lethal Weapon

Mega Corp - Last level Last life

Mega Drive - I am the machine

one last thing, this music genre has become really popular with people who associate with the cyberpunk movement, so if you are into dark futures, VR, and other cool Cyberpunk like things, check it out, a lot of it fits into that world very well!

here's some more, enjoy!

I quite enjoy music like Laserhawk, Power Glove, Perturbator, Kavinsky, etc. Sometimes the music becomes too chiptuned for my taste, and too much like you'd hear in a club so with too much techno/house involved. I prefer what you'd hear from the 80s with a retro-electro feel to it. The French REALLY know how to put out some seriously good tunes.

I fully agree dee, though I also like the chiptune side of it too since I'm a huge fan of retro gaming and retrogame music.

Personally I feel that the genre known as synthwave (that's this music here) probably comes closest to having a cyberpunk feel to it at times, with some artists specifically targeting that vibe.

Cyberpunk was created in the 1980's with a vision of the future from back then, this music is like a futuristic variant of 1980's electronic music at the time, which in turn was popular in cyberpunk media back then.

it just kinda fits since cyberpunk is becoming closer and closer to reality.

Kavinsky has to be my favorite of the bunch. I love that electro-pop sound he's managed to capture, but with a darker feel (though not as dark as Perturbator can get). His synth-pop sound is spot on and an inspiration for many artists.

I love that whole cyberpunk genre in literature, movies, music. It's great!

here is an artist called noir deco, he specifically does cyberpunk inspired synthwave music.
