I hate tailgaters!

Tailgating: is the practice of driving on a road too close to the vehicle in front, at a distance which does not guarantee that stopping to avoid collision is possible. Approximately one third of rear-end collisions involve tailgating.

Tailgating is becoming more and more common around here. Almost every time I drive I'm tailgated by someone. I could understand if I was in the passing lane going 50 in a 60, but I was in the slow lane, and I was going 60 MPH, the posted speed limit. I always go the speed limit, rarely ever do I go under the speed limit unless the road conditions are hazardous. I need a sign that says the following:

Here's a bumper sticker for you Jughead:

Sure they can be annoying, but the law is on your side. So if a crash does happen. hopefully and probably not a serious one, your going to have a perfect case to sue for emotional distress.

That would be a long bumper sticker...

It would definitely be their fault, but even still, it's a hassle dealing with insurance and getting compensation.

Hi Jughead,

I'm normally a passive person and try not to stir the pot as I like peace. But, I do have a very quick temper.

On my way home on a dark and dismal night, I flipped the bird to a driver behind me who tailgated me for miles with their high beams. After they passed me, I did the dastardly deed of flipping the bird....oy vey!

I know I was wrong to flip the bird, but my annoyance level was high....My mistake...

The driver tried to kill me.
This person kept getting in front of me by slamming on the breaks as they tried to run me off the road.

Luckily, I survived and outwitted this angry person.

I will never, ever again flip the bird!

People usually tailgate (or ride my ass as people seem to call it around here) if you turn into their lane and are going slower than they were going or if you are turning onto the street and they had to step on the brake petal because you are still trying to get your car up to speed.

My friends wife has a license plate frame on her car that says:

If you are going to ride my ass

at least pull my hair

A few moments ago we were travelling along the road and a coach driver, with a coach load of passengers was tailgating us for a few miles. Then because my fiance dosen't get intimedated by people like this, he decided to ignore him.. A few miles later and he began to undertake in the slow lane as we were in the middle lane.. So as he was doing that we sped up.

I seriously hate people like that, they are an accident waiting to happen..

@Nebulous: I love that license plate frame!
