Off Topix is a well established general discussion forum that originally opened to the public way back in 2009! We provide a laid back atmosphere and our members are down to earth. Since I am at university, I took a 3 month break from gaming, Used to play around 2-4 hours a day before but that stopped when I got used to the university lifestyle. Literally didn't have any time to play games. Much easier not to think about gaming when you are preoccupied with something else more important and/or fun.
It varies for me. It could be weeks, or even months. It all comes down to my mood, and if I'm preoccupied with other activities such as hobbies.
I don't normally take extended breaks from gaming entirely: the most I've ever taken has been about three days.
However, I do quite often take breaks from specific games. For example, I'm taking a break from Into the Breach (and have been for over a year), because I found it too frustrating.
