Ever deal with someone that talks SOO MUCH? Like to the point that it annoys you and you just wish you could teleport somewhere else? lol

I have a habit of sometimes talking too much, but that usually only happens when I'm watching TV with my family. I doubt they want to listen to me

That reminds me of something I did to a girl I was dating a while back. Every time we would sit down to watch a movie or tv, she would start blabbing away. She would get annoyed with me because I am not paying attention to her while she was talking over the TV.

One time I turned off the TV, shifted my sitting position all dramatically towards her and said

Well you want my attention, you've got it!

She looked at me like this

I said Whats the matter?! You can only talk to me while my attention is focused on something else!?!?!? You've got my undivided attention.. So go on, start talking.

She said F**k you! and stormed off.

Yeah I was being a jerk but it felt good at the time.

I know several people like this and sometimes I think they do it just to hear their own voice. I think people who do this are looking for attention or their lives are just so boring that they make up for it by just running their mouth. My term for them is motor mouths and when I run into one I just politely

I'm like DAMN i have a headache. They'll get the hint i don;t want to talk.

Definitely, I always use it. Sometime when i try it against older folks their like here take some aspirin.

As has already been said, some folks just love the sound of their own voices. I could never see the point in telling someone something that should take a few seconds and making last for ages. When folks do that with me, I start thinking, please get to the bloody point.

Maybe I just have a short attention span, but whatever the reason, it annoys the hell out of me.

Yeah, they spend the whole convo talking about themselves and their problems.

My mom talks a lot, but I've learned just to let her go off. It's how her brain operates and it doesn't hurt me to listen. I'm more quite and observant and I would appreciate other people respecting that.

I hardly talk at all. When I am with someone who talks a lot I sometimes feel self conscious - do I really have nothing to say, am I a dull person? Other times with them I am thankful that there is not the awkward silence that usually accompanies my life.

I'm the opposite, so talking is my way to release anxiety, anger, sadness, or happiness.

I wish I could help others communicate more openly.
