My daughter's mom's side of the family is mexican.. I remember when we were together I used to go to their parties and whatnot. My ex's aunt used to make tamales.. She would put one horrificly / dangerously spicy one in the mix, just for her own entertainment to watch whoever got it suffer.
Everyone would risk getting the spicy one just to get have her delicious tamales. Luckily I never got the spicy one.

Well if you lived in a place where more than half the population is mexican then I suppose you would have tried them by now.
Errm...I'm in Texas and my town has a decent amount of Mexicans and I've never tried tamales. XD
Then again...I'm not a big fan of Mexican food in general...only things I like are nachos and quesadillas.
