Tattoos and Piercings?

I've personally never been fond of either one. I don't like markings on my body or needles that stick through me.

Piercings aren't as painful as you think they would be, well a lot of them are not too bad anyway. The person doing the piercing only takes a second and then its over with. That being said, I don't want any more. :P

I really just don't like the look of them on men in general (meaning myself).

I have two piercings in my left ear. why my left? because as my grandfather once said. left ear means you're worldly, well traveled. Right ear means you're into other men.

Here's the real shocker though. I did my own piercings. used a needle and thread, and some isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) to treat it after the fact. It's been nearly a year, no problems. may put more in my left ear later, not sure yet.
the ones in my left ear are a pair of phillips screws... because of course they are :p When people claim I have a few screws loose I point to them and say. No I don't they're right there.

Pierced your own ear? I could never :run:

Screws in your ear sounds cool though. :punk:

Twice even within a two week span to make sure the first one started healing okay lol.
but surprisingly it didn't hurt at all? just left the string in there for a month or two and treated it daily with the isopropyl.
It was like a weird pressure... I could feel it going through my ear but it didn't hurt. then there was a soft pop and it was through... just cut the string, tie the knot, and put the alcohol on it.

stings for a second and you're done.

Maybe you just have a high tolerance for pain.

nah, I hate needles... granted my tolerance has gone up but seriously, it actually hurt more to have it professionally done using a special tool years ago than it did with a needle and thread. And that was in a special piercing shop.
so long as you take precautions though it's perfectly safe... if you're worried about pain though my grandmother is the one who told me about the needle and thread method and they'd use ice to numb the area first.

I probably wont be poking holes in myself any time soon but thanks for the advice :D

2 holes in both ears. She gave herself the 2nd holes. She is badass!
I'm a-symmetrical. One in one ear, two in the other ear. My girlfriend's mother did the first two using the ice cube - needle & thread method when I was 12. The third was prompted by my daughter in the left ear; she said it meant something, but I've forgotten what. :p  That one was done at a "shop" with one of those air-gun things....hurt like the dickens.

My mommy did.
Did it hurt?

Air gun? Hmm, I'll have to google that one.

Have a piercing in your right ear if you want. That gay thing is something leftover from a million years ago. Nobody even knows the difference anymore.

Here, let me do that for you. :p

Okay, looks like these are spring-operated, NOT air.

PIERCING GUN VS. NEEDLE: WHICH ONE SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

(This is talking about a hollow needle, not a regular sewing needle)

Oh yeah I seen those. I was thinking of something else I think.
