Hi all? Is anyone a fan of her music? I just got tickets for her tour this summer! DD wants to go so we are gonna have a girls' trip and have fun. I had to suffer thru Ticketmaster Presale hell of being online for hours while it crashed over and over but came up with tickets. It was like the Hunger Games.
Ticketmaster was an absolute schit show. I was able to get a presale code and the site kept crashing, etc. And, shortly after it started a whole lot of tickets show up on Stubhub, etc for thousands of dollars. I think there must just be a bunch of bots that buy tickets for big sellers.'
Also, I think Ticketmaster is able to collect fees when tickets are resold. So kind of wonder if they are in on the resale market. Well, I don't wonder, follow the money.
And of course $200 of fees on top of the ticket price and another $100 for ticket insurance. I normally don't buy the ticket ins but the concert is so far off, seemed like I should
Hope you enjoy the show! Lately I've been into stand up comedy rather than going to concerts. Going to two stand up comedy shows in January. Most tickets are sold through Ticketmaster/LiveNation. I wish they would just show you the price with the fee's included. For example 2 tickets at $30 each ends up being almost $80 sometimes after the fees. How does that math add up?
Never bought ticket insurance on any show I've gone to and its been fine. There has been a couple shows I bought tickets for that got cancelled and they still sent me a refund.
Seems to be a lot of her fans complaining about the prices. They seem to range from like $89 - $799 for VIP tickets. Probably most tickets are in the middle of that. But, i mean, how much does someone think it SHOULD cost to put on an elaborate production, lasers, effects, stages that move, musicians, dancers, costumes and on and on? It's a bit different from the "old days" where the band showed up with their guitars and drums and just stood on stage playing their songs without all the extras that are expected now.
Ticketmaster handled this so poorly. First of all, WHY try to sell tickets for ENTIRE tour all on the same day?? Who is running their business? They should have staggered that. She starts touring in April. My tickets are for June. Wouldn't it have made SENSE to begin by selling the earlier dates first?
Ticketmaster said on Thursday that “due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand,” Friday’s public ticket sales for Swift’s Eras Tour has been canceled.
The sudden cancellation comes after Ticketmaster said Thursday that more than two million tickets were sold Tuesday for her upcoming tour — the most ever sold for an artist in a single day. It caused a near meltdown of its website.
In a blog post Thursday, Ticketmaster explained that a “record number of fans” wanted to buy tickets to Swift’s Eras Tour, which begins next year. That prompted a massive slowdown in its platform and sparked outrage among her millions of fans who couldn’t purchase tickets.
First of all, they KNEW how many presale codes they sent out. And they did not ask for the Presale code until you sat for hours in the Queue and then when you got pulled up to purchase tickets, you had to then add your presale code right before purchasing. I mean they could have screened that BEFORE allowing people into the queue.
