Teacher calls Jamaican students ‘n*gger’ after they object to ‘African-American’

This seems to be a case of you are either with us or against us.

Some students just didn’t want to be called “African-American.”

Carol Stream studentsA substitute teacher in Carol Stream’s Jay Stream Middle School referred to some black students with the term some consider to be politically correct and they interrupted her, saying they were, in fact, Jamaican.

“All four of us that were sitting there got offended because none of us are from Africa. I’m Jamaican. So we said, ‘Can you please not call us that?” student Mea Thompson tells NBC Chicago.

“She continued to call us that and said, ‘It’s the politically correct term.’ Then she said, ‘Well, back then you guys would be considered the N-word.”

That bugged me also. Every crime is a hate crime if you commit a crime. So why do we need hate crime laws? Anyways that was no crime just a lot of stupidity.
